Clients have also taken to the high seas performing on cruise lines around the world in both musicals and productions shows.

At the symposium, Elliot will present Dancers: The Masters of Muscles – Application of EVT® for Teaching Dancers, focusing on what happens when we bring that same precision to the voice.

Dancers are masters of muscular control — every movement is timed, placed, and refined with precision. But when they step into the singing studio, even the most physically aware performers can feel disconnected. This is where Estill Voice Training® becomes a game-changer. With its guiding principles rooted in muscular awareness and vocal independence, Estill offers dancers a framework they already understand intuitively. Integrating Estill into the dance studio isn’t just about learning vocal figures — it’s about full embodiment of the voice as an extension of the body.

Core studio mantras like “let the breath respond to what it meets on the way out” and “listen harder to the muscles than the sound” resonate deeply with dancers. After all, just as a jump requires a plié, singing requires muscular preparation before sound. So what needs to be in place before phonation begins? That’s where Estill’s full integration in the studio gives dancers the tools to develop independent vocal control — with the same precision, responsiveness, and artistry they bring to movement. It’s the next logical step in their creative mastery.
