Behind-the-mic at the EWVS 2025:
Zoe Stibi (EMT), began teaching singing & Musical Theatre performance during her Bachelor of Music studies & credit a lot of her early success to her mentor & teacher Janice Webb, QSM. She quickly became Head of voice at Birkenhead College in Auckland & founded the Musical Theatre programme for Neverland Studio’s whilst continuing her studies. In 2010 the West-End was calling & she started her Masters Degree at the RCS majoring in Musical Theatre Performance. Parallel to her MA she tutored the Young Academy at RCS. Whilst in London she taught music history & tap dance at Sutton College for three years. She taught Musical Theatre repertoire at London Studio Center & Ursuline High School. Many of her students have been awarded Musical Theatre & Pop music positions at Universities & schools such as BRITS school & RADA. She is now living in Bavaria, Germany where she teaches via skype & in person in both Munich & Augsburg. Teaching all styles of music to all ages and stages, she loves to share Jo Estill’s work with new students.
At the symposium, Zoe will present Finding Your Voice (as a Teacher) Online, focusing on how singing teachers can connect with students and grow their studios digitally. When we asked what inspired this topic, she shared:
“As singing teachers, we spend years mastering music theory, vocal technique, and stage presence—but no one teaches us how to market ourselves. What happens once we’ve got all this knowledge? How do we get it out there? If you’ve ever cringed at the idea of selling yourself on Instagram or YouTube—thinking it’s all filters and fluff—this presentation is for you.
I’ll be showing you how to use these platforms authentically to find your voice as a teacher, connect with your ideal students, and grow your teaching studio. We’ll explore the steps your future clients need to take, the power of teaching online, and the kinds of content that not only attract attention but build trust.
This isn’t about going viral. It’s about finding your people and showing them why you’re the right teacher for them.”
