Based in London, and originally from the Orkney Islands of Scotland, Aimée works with a wide variety of singers, speakers, and professional voice users across genres and industries. She loves the expansive and adaptable nature of Estill Voice Training®, noting that she uses EVT for all of her work because of its versatility and clarity.
Reaching EMCI has been a meaningful journey: “My biggest professional challenge has been gaining my EMCI!” Aimée shares with humor and pride — a testament to the rigor, persistence, and dedication required of this level.
Aimée’s musical life began in traditional folk music, and she continues to draw inspiration from singers and storytellers such as Karine Polwart, Emily Portman, Annie Lennox, Billie Holiday, Raye, George Michael, Freddie Mercury, Dolly Parton, and her son Finn. She values voices that carry emotion and invite listeners into a story.
In addition to her vocal work, Aimée has been a bodhrán player for more than 40 years. She owns over 25 drums and performed backing vocals and bodhrán with the Irish delegation in the 1996 Eurovision Song Contest, which advanced all the way to the finals and won.
Aimée’s warmth, curiosity, artistry, and commitment to student success enrich our global network of Estill educators. We are proud to welcome her to the EMCI family and congratulate her on this outstanding achievement.
Congratulations, Aimée!
