Estill Voice International is pleased to welcome Dongguk University as an official Estill Educational Affiliate (EEA), recognizing the institution’s longstanding commitment to excellence in performing arts education and its integration of Estill Voice Training® (EVT) within its curriculum.

Dongguk University established South Korea’s first Division of Theatre in 1960 and has since developed a comprehensive performing arts education program with a strong emphasis on vocal training, performance, and artistic development.

As part of the university’s curriculum, Estill Voice Training serves as a foundational component of student learning. Under the leadership of Aleum Lee (EMCI-C) and Yun Young Shin (EMT), first- and second-year students systematically study the Figures for Voice Control™ and Figure Combinations for Six Voice Qualities™. Students also have the opportunity to earn their Estill Figure Proficiency (EFP) certification as part of their academic coursework, providing a structured pathway toward professional voice training and certification.

Beyond the classroom, students gain valuable practical experience by participating as ensemble members in theatre and musical productions led by upper-level students. These performance opportunities allow students to apply EVT principles in real-world artistic settings while developing collaborative performance skills.

Building on the EVT foundation established during their first two years of study, third- and fourth-year students expand their training across theatre, musical theatre, and film disciplines. Advanced coursework focuses on character-driven vocal strategy, expressive communication, and ensemble vocal integration, helping students develop versatile and sustainable vocal techniques for professional performance careers.
