You are kindly invited to submit abstracts describing your application of Estill Voice Training in Research, Pedagogy, Remediation, or Performance. Formats will include a 20-minute lecture or 40-minute workshop. All abstracts will be evaluated by the Symposium Abstract Committee. Accepted abstracts will be published prior to the Symposium.
Please read the following guidelines carefully before submitting an abstract. Abstracts that do not conform to these guidelines will not be accepted.
- Abstract must be written in English.
- Abstract must be submitted electronically online
- Titles should be short but descriptive of the work.
- Abstract text should contain no more than 250 words.
- All authors’ names and institutions should be included, as follows: Author, E-Mail Address, Phone Number, Institution and Department (optional), City and Country.
- The abstract should be informative, containing a summary of the presentation or statement of the study’s objectives, methods, results, and conclusions, as relevant.
- Please avoid references. However, if references are used, they should be included in the abstract texts as: authors, journal, year, volume and pages.
- Single space all text and do not leave blank lines. Use standard abbreviations. Place a special or unusual abbreviation in parentheses after the full word the first time it appears. Use generic names of drugs and write numbers as numerals rather than words.
The Symposium is open to all voice professionals, but the majority of the participants will be from the EVT Trainer and student community. Presentations giving overviews or summaries of the Estill Voice Model or “re-presentations” of Level 1 and Level 2 material will not be accepted. Presentations should also avoid repeating material already presented at previous Estill Symposiums.
Deadlines:
- Abstracts must be submitted no later than March 1, 2026
- Abstracts will be reviewed and authors notified by April 30, 2026.
Authors whose abstracts are accepted must confirm their intention to present by registering for the Symposium immediately following notification and will be asked for an electronic version of their presentation by December 1, 2026. Presenters may register at the Early Bird rate beyond the deadline. Refunds will be issued accordingly.
