Registering for this course will automatically create an Estill Voice Online Academy account for you (if you do not already have one) and enroll you into both components of the Level 1 Course: 1) the self-directed Foundations of Estill Voice Training® and 2) the live online or on location Figures for Voice™ led by a certified EMCI.

Resource Fee including Foundations of Estill Voice Training®, PDF version of Level 1 Workbook, supporting materials, customer service and the Certificate of Attendance is payable to Estill Voice International at the time of registration: $150 USD (new student) $45 USD (returning student, already purchased Foundations of EVT®).

Level 1 teaches the Craft of speaking and singing. This course is for anyone who would like to improve their singing or speaking voice—singers, actors, vocal coaches, drama instructors, speech-language pathologists, and other vocal health professionals.

By the end of this course, you should be able to:

  • Describe the Estill Figures for Voice™ that span power, source and filter in voice production;
  • Explain the anatomy & physiology underlying the production of the EVT Figures;
  • Integrate Voice Qualities into drama, music, or voice therapy applications;
  • Assess the implementation of Voice Qualities by actors, singers, or patients;
  • Record and analyze samples of Voice Qualities using state-of-the-art voice technology.

Your Level 1 journey to vocal empowerment starts with Foundations Estill Voice Training®. This completely self-directed online course will introduce you to our unique and powerful system for training the voice. Content includes:

  • Exploratory Vocal Exercises with Estill Voiceprint Plus™
  • Journal Reflections

The journey continues with Figures for Voice™ live online or on location with an EMCI. This live course component explores each Estill Figure (vocal structure) and includes:

  • Level 1 Workbook™, Make & Move Larynx™, supporting handouts
  • Introduction to 13 Figures for Voice™
  • Vocal exercises for range, strength, clarity, and stamina
  • Large and small group learning and discussions
  • Masterclass/open coaching sessions for repertoire or case studies

A Level 1 Certificate of Attendance will be issued upon completion of both components of this Level 1 Course. This certificate is one of the requirements for Trainer Certification in Estill Voice Training®.

To obtain ASHA's CEU's:

  • Complete all components of Foundations of Estill Voice Training®
  • Score 80% or higher on the Assessment of Learning Quiz (in Foundations)
  • Attend all days of the live Level 1: Figures for Voice™
  • Complete the course evaluation

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

In the event this course is canceled by the instructors, a full refund of the course fee will be given to all participants. In lieu of a refund, participants may choose to reserve their place at a future course with Dr. Kimberly Steinhauer. Participant cancellations will receive a full refund of the course fee up to two months prior to the start of the course. Within two months of the course start, participants may receive a 50% refund of the course fee or may transfer their registration to a future course with Dr. Steinhauer. No refunds for participant cancellations will be given after July 25, 2026 (2 weeks prior to course start). Access to Foundations of Estill Voice Training in the Online Academy is unlimited and the fee is non-refundable. The EVI Resources Fee is non-refundable. Voiceprint is non-returnable, non-refundable.
