Join us for the official Estill Voice Training® Workshop: Belting in Tampere, Finland, June 13, 2027, taught by two highly experienced Estill educators and Estill Mentor & Course Instructors (EMCIs): Dorte Hyldstrup, EMCI-ATP-SD, and Antti Annola, EMCI.
The workshop is taught in English, with Finnish support available when needed.
Belting is one of the most exciting and expressive voice qualities used in musical theatre, pop, rock, soul, gospel, R&B, and many contemporary vocal styles. Based on Jo Estill's pioneering research, this workshop explores how to develop a powerful, confident Belt quality while maintaining vocal efficiency and health.
Throughout the day, participants will learn the essential Estill tools for building a balanced Belt quality and discover practical strategies for applying them in singing.

- The foundations of healthy Belting
- From yelling to singing
- Belting and diction
- Belting in the upper range
- Belting variation possibilities
- Practice strategies and troubleshooting common challenges
This one-day workshop explores the essential anatomical and acoustic mechanisms behind an efficient and healthy Belt quality. Participants will learn practical Estill tools for developing Belt safely and confidently, while exploring how Belt can me varied to meet different artistic goals. No previous Estill experience is required. This workshop is open to singers, singing teachers, actors, voice coaches, and anyone interested in developing a healthy and expressive Belt quality.
The workshop is also a great opportunity for those who wish to deepen their understanding of the Estill Belt Quality after already studying Estill.

- Belting with dynamics
- Combining Belt with other Estill Voice Qualities™
- Practice strategies and troubleshooting common challenges
The workshop concludes with an Open Session (Master Class), where participants can apply the concepts to their own singing.
No previous Estill experience is required. This workshop is open to singers, singing teachers, actors, voice coaches, speech and language therapists, and anyone interested in developing a healthy and expressive Belt quality.

Step 2: You will receive an invoice for the workshop fee by email within a few business days. Your place is confirmed once the workshop fee has been paid.
Registration & Cancellation Policy
Course registration is binding. Course fees are non-refundable if the participant cancels their registration or is unable to attend the course. However, participants may transfer their place to another person, subject to the waiting list, if applicable.
The course instructors reserve the right to cancel the course due to force majeure or insufficient enrolment. In such cases, participants will be offered a place on another Estill Voice Training® course whenever possible. If this is not possible, the course fee will be refunded in full.
Your Instructors
Dorte Hyldstrup, EMCI-ATP-SD
Dorte Hyldstrup has worked professionally with the voice as both a singer and teacher for more than 35 years. She has taught voice at leading institutions including the Rhythmic Music Conservatory, the Danish National Academy of Music (DKDM), the Institute of Music Science, music schools, and numerous professional training programs throughout Scandinavia and Europe.
Since 2000, Dorte has taught more than 200 Estill Voice Training courses across Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, France, Belgium, Ukraine, Russia, and Greece.
Her journey with Estill Voice Training began in 1988, when she travelled to New York to study directly with Jo Estill, the founder of Estill Voice Training. In 1991, she organized the very first Estill course in Denmark and had the privilege of working alongside Jo Estill as her assistant for the following nine years. Today, Dorte is recognized as one of the world's most experienced and respected Estill educators.
Antti Annola, EMCI
Antti Annola is an Estill Mentor & Course Instructor (EMCI), singer, and voice pedagogue from Finland. He is the first Finnish EMCI and has been teaching Estill Voice Training® for more than a decade.
Antti has taught voice at universities and other educational institutions across Finland, including the Theatre Academy of the University of the Arts Helsinki, working with singers, actors, and other voice professionals.
Alongside his teaching career, Antti is widely known as the tenor of the internationally acclaimed Finnish a cappella group Rajaton. His performing career spans classical singing, jazz, musical theatre, and contemporary commercial music, including collaborations with numerous symphony orchestras across Europe and North America.
In his teaching, Antti combines extensive performing experience with modern, evidence-informed voice pedagogy.

Course Description
This Introductory Workshop is designed to answer the question “What is Estill Voice Training®?” Participants will gain insight into the Estill Voice Model, the theoretical foundation of Estill Voice Training®, and begin to understand how we can Feel, See and Hear an unlimited amount of possibilities for our speaking and singing goals.
