Rooted in pioneering research on how the voice actually works, Estill Voice Training® offers practical, sustainable craft that allows all voice users and vocal professionals to answer the question: “How am I doing this?"
With this unique insight, everyone from everyday speakers to working performers can make conscious choices about how they sound. It is also an essential foundation for everyone who helps others to develop their voices.
In this fun, interactive introductory course we will explore all the big ideas of the Estill Voice Model, including an overview of all 13 Figures for Voice™ and the Six Voice Qualities™: Speech, Falsetto, Sob, Twang, Opera and Belt. We will work more in-depth on two vocal structures to give a flavour of how Estill Voice Training® can help you see, feel and hear your voice in a new way. We will also explain next steps - including the process of joining a public Estill Level 1 & 2 Course and how to get certified in Estill Voice Training®.
The course is a safe space for exploration with opportunities for individual feedback and coaching. Participation is strongly encouraged, but optional.
A certificate of attendance will be issued upon successful completion of this introductory course to everyone who registers their details with Estill Voice International.

Introduction to Estill Voice Training® is for anyone who wants to learn more about how the voice works.
It is especially helpful for those who use their voices professionally and want to improve their craft through practice and training (e.g. singers of all genres, actors, voice teachers, choral directors, speech and language therapists, public speakers, etc.).
This course is an excellent opportunity to learn more about Estill Voice Training® before committing to a complete Estill Level 1 and 2 Course or as preparation for one-to-one voice sessions with a certified Estill instructor.

About the trainer
Stefan Holmström (he/him) is a professional opera singer, voice teacher and Estill Mentor & Course Instructor (EMCI). Following a career performing at Glyndebourne, Grange Park Opera, Opera Holland Park and as a member of the Phantom of the Opera Company at Her Majesty's Theatre in London, Stefan offers expert vocal training and workshops to a wide range of singers and speakers from his studio in central Brighton and on location in Sweden, Portugal and Prague. He has taught at the Mountview Academy and at Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London and is a singing voice specialist for the NHS Voice Clinic in Brighton.
Stefan's Estill mentors include Paul Farrington, Anne-Marie Speed and Mary McDonald Klimek.
Course Description
This Introductory Workshop is designed to answer the question “What is Estill Voice Training®?” Participants will gain insight into the Estill Voice Model, the theoretical foundation of Estill Voice Training®, and begin to understand how we can Feel, See and Hear an unlimited amount of possibilities for our speaking and singing goals.

Estill Voiceprint™ is highly recommended for this Workshop. Add a discounted one-year annual subscription at the special registration rate of $60.00 (regularly $99/year). If you prefer a monthly subscription plan, you may subscribe separately through Estill Voiceprint™ after registration.
Estill Voiceprint™ is our browser-based voice analysis platform that allows you to see, hear, record, and play back your voice in real time. Used throughout Estill Level 1 & 2 courses, Estill Voiceprint™ helps bring the Estill "feel, see, hear" process to life through visual feedback and guided exploration.
A Certificate of Attendance will be issued upon completion of this workshop. This certificate is not a requirement for Trainer Certification in Estill Voice Training®.
