Christie Allen-Valeriano is a passionate teacher, committed to helping her students find their natural voices and develop confidence through the transformational joy of singing. With a masters degree in vocal performance from Boston University, Christie began her vocal journey as a professional opera singer. Her career included performances with top opera companies across the United States, including the Santa Fe Opera, Utah Opera, and Boston Lyric Opera, and she is a two time Metropolitan Opera National Council Regional Finalist. She subsequently studied with Broadway writer and producer Craig Carnelia and sang music theatre, rock and jazz throughout New York, including appearances at the BMI writers’ workshops, and the prestigious NYU Tisch School for the Arts. As a session singer, her work can be heard on ESPN’s channel idents and several production libraries.Christie is currently a singing tutor on the BA Musical Theatre programme at Mountview Theatre School in Peckham. Her past teaching credits include deputy vocal coach on the TV programme All Together Now (season 2), WAC Arts artist diploma programme and the Southbank School. She is an EMT-C.
