Guidelines for Submission of Abstracts for the 12th Estill World Voice Symposium
You are kindly invited to submit abstracts describing your application of Estill Voice Training in Research, Pedagogy, Remediation, or Performance. Formats will include a 20-minute lecture or 40-minute workshop. All abstracts will be evaluated by the Symposium Abstract Committee. Accepted abstracts will be published prior to the Symposium.
Please read the following guidelines carefully before submitting an abstract. Abstracts that do not conform to these guidelines will not be accepted.
- Abstracts must be written in English.
- Abstracts must be submitted electronically online at estillvoice.com/submit-your-abstract/
- Titles should be short but descriptive of the work.
- Abstract text should contain no more than 250 words.
- All authors’ names and institutions should be included, as follows: Author, E-Mail Address, Phone Number, Institution and Department (optional), City and Country.
- The abstract should be informative, containing a summary of the presentation or statement of the study’s objectives, methods, results, and conclusions, as relevant.
- Please avoid references. However, if references are used, they should be included in the abstract texts as: authors, journal, year, volume and pages.
- Single space all text and do not leave blank lines. Use standard abbreviations. Place a special or unusual abbreviation in parentheses after the full word the first time it appears. Use generic names of drugs and write numbers as numerals rather than words.
Please remember that the Symposium is tailored for EFPs, EMTs, EMCIs and other long-time students of Estill Voice Training®. Presentations giving overviews or summaries of the Estill Voice Model or “re-presentations” of Level One and Level Two material will not be accepted. Presentations should also avoid repeating material already presented at previous Estill Symposiums.
