Winnie has been a Singing coach for over 25 years. She is also a live/ recording singer and voice-over. From 2008 to 2019, she was the resident Voice instructor for the CEF Vocal Foundation Course at Baron School of Music, HK. In the early 2000s, she wrote the syllabus and taught at the Contemporary Music Academy (HK) and Special Modules at the Medical School of Hong Kong University. Currently, she teaches full-time privately in-person/online and coaches Musical Theatre students part-time at the HKAPA School of Drama.

​Winnie is a certified Estill Master Trainer under the mentorship of Naomi Eyers (EMCI with advanced testing privileges and service distinction). She attended the Estill World Voice Symposium in London (2019), as well as workshops at the Royal Academy of Music London in 2019. Currently, she is pursuing her MA degree and continuing studies in various disciplines to further her professional development.

​She started her formal voice training at the age of 13 with vocal coach Ruth Chen. Meanwhile pursuing Classical voice training with Susan Digby at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts as a junior student. She then attended San Domenico School, a music-oriented college preparatory school in California, where she continued her studies in Voice and Classical guitar. During this time, she was awarded the “Bank of America Achievement Award in the field of Foreign Languages”. Her repertoire covers multiple languages.

​Majoring in Music at Barnard College, Columbia University in New York, she studied with Gigi Hagamatili in Classical voice training. She was later transferred to Berklee College of Music, Boston, where she pursued her studies in Vocal Performance with renowned teachers such as Lawrence Watson, Jerry Secco, Lisa Thorson and Livingston Taylor, focusing on Pop, R&B, Jazz, and Latin vocal music.

​She began her professional performing career as a singer at the age of 17 at the Cossack Bar, Ritz Carlton Hotel, Hong Kong. And has since been performing at various venues in and outside Hong Kong. After returning to Hong Kong, she worked regularly with Jazz musicians such as Guy Le Claire, Anthony Fernandez, Robbin Harris, Sylvain Gagnon, Dan Lavelle, and Rickard Malstein. She also participates in demos, TV commercial jingles, movie-themed songs, voiceovers, and audiophile CD recordings.

​Venues of performance for regular gigs/functions include Grand Hyatt Hotel HK, Four Seasons Hotel HK, Peninsula Hotel HK, Island Shangri-la Hotel HK, Ritz Carlton Hotel HK, Sky100, Shanghai Shanghai(Ritz Carlton), 10 Shanghai (Lee Garden), Paper Moon (Harbour City), Rice Paper (Harbour City), Piano Bar (Happy Valley), Jazz Club, Staunton Cafe, Con Fusions, Poison Ivy, Music Room, Aqua, Kee Club, Gecko, Cova (Pacific Place), Bohemian Lounge, Friday Fest at Taikoo Place, Sea-Gaia (Sheraton Hotel, Miyazaki, Japan) and many more other venues and functions for international clients.

She also adjudicates for many singing contests in Hong Kong. Her previous clienteles include professional singers, singing teachers, TED talk speaker, HK celebs, and HK singers/groups, including Supergirls, AsOne, Jill Vidal, JC, Thomas Ng (Warner Music, U.S), Sukie Shek, Jessica Kan, Stephanie Ho, Angie Shum, Gillian Chung, Pakho Chau......etc.
