Abigail is a doctoral candidate, working on her Doctor of Education with the University of the West of England. Her current area of research surrounds vocal health of Musical Theatre undergraduates. In addition to being an Estill Master Trainer, Abigail holds a Master's in Education from the University of the West of England, is a member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians and The British Voice Association. Abigail graduated from the University of Plymouth with a BEd Mus (Hons) in 2006. Abigail has worked within the Performing Arts department at University Centre Weston, as the vocal lead, for several years now; focusing on singing and spoken voice, song interpretation and Musical Theatre history and repertoire. Additionally, Abigail has worked as a guest lecturer at other institutions around the UK. As a trained dental nurse and pharmaceutical dispenser, Abigail regularly amalgamates this knowledge with EVT; creating a holistic approach to her teaching practice. As a self-confessed voice anorak, with a passion for the human voice and its development, Abigail is fascinated by vocal research and vocal scientific developments and regularly attends summits and symposiums in both the UK, Europe and Australia. Abigail is committed to instilling confidence in her students and believe everyone can sing; it is just a matter of giving them the tools to do so!
