Rachel Pollard received a B.S. in Music Education, with a concentration in classical and jazz voice, from Duquesne University. She holds both a Master of Education degree in Education and Certificate of Educational Administration from Gannon University and is a Certified Master Teacher of Estill Voice Training. Ms. Pollard is certified in the Orff-Schulwerk Pedagogy, having completed her Levels I, II, III and Masterclass at the University of Memphis and University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She works actively as a guest conductor throughout the Eastern United States, specializing in both treble choral and mixed changing-voice choir pedagogy, technique and repertoire. She has served as President of the Pittsburgh Golden Triangle Orff Schulwerk Association, and as adjunct faculty at Duquesne University teaching elementary choral methods, Rachel works nationally as a workshop clinician specializing in Estill Voice Training and the Orff Schulwerk pedagogical method. In addition to regularly serving as a guest lecturer at local universities, she has presented sessions at regional and state conferences for PMEA, OMEA and the National AOSA Conference. In the Pittsburgh area, Rachel maintains a vocal coaching studio. She is employed full-time as a vocal music and choir specialist at the elementary level and serves as a diversity, equity, and inclusion teacher trainer for the Fox Chapel Area School District in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
