Jessica Friend (MA, BMus) originally trained in Vocal and Operatic Studies at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and later an MA in Musical Theatre at Mountview, where her research into Feminist Performance Practice, Anthropocentrism and Brechtian Techniques informed her original piece Yoghurt Is Not Sexy (Camden People's Theatre & Arcola Theatre) and What You Don't Know About Women (Phoenix Arts Club). She is completing her Estill Master Trainer certification in Autumn 2025, and is also a certified Vocal Health First Aider.As a performer, Jessica has appeared in productions and concerts across the UK and internationally. Recent credits include Inclusion (Mall Galleries), What You Don't Know About Women (Phoenix Arts Club), The Light Princess (ARC Stockton & UK Tour), Spot’s Birthday Party (UK Tour & Singapore Fest 2024), Three Little Pigs (UK Tour), and Exploring Sondheim From a Singer’s Perspective (Vox Integra).Alongside her performance work, Jessica is an experienced vocal and singing coach, teaching at Italia Conti, Mountview and Arts Ed, in addition to her work as a piano coach.
