Originated from Hong Kong, Cherry is a vocalist, singing teacher and vocal coach based in Manchester, the UK.
Cherry graduated with a BA (Hons) in Vocal Studies and Performance at the Arden School of Theatre in Manchester, the UK. She received Estill Voice Training under the mentorship of Estill Mentor & Course Instructor with Service Distinction and Advanced Testing Privileges, Naomi Eyers, and was certified as an Estill Master Trainer in 2018. She regularly runs Estill Practice Group / Introductory Workshops for voice enthusiasts. Cherry is also the musical theatre/singing teacher at Mainstream Theatre Arts in Manchester, the UK, as well as private vocal coach for students and clients in the UK, Hong Kong and China. Cherry is currently pursuing a Masters in Voice Pedagogy graduating in 2026. Cherry was also trained in classical piano training from the age of seven and attained ABRSM Grade 8 in piano and music theory.
Cherry is trilingual and teaches/performs in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
Cherry's theatre credits include "Can't Help It…My Feet Love to Dance / If Again" of the Hong Kong 3 Arts Musical Institute in 2008, Cantonese version of “The Pajama Game” in 2009, musical revue “Totally Sondheim” directed by Glen Chin in 2011, "Calendar Girls" in 2022, "Gypsy" in 2023 and "Avenue Q" (Christmas Eve) in 2023 etc.
Cherry was also the vocal coach of various musical theatre productions, including "Guardian Angels" the 150th anniversary musical of St Francis Canossian College produced by Chung Ying Theatre Company in 2019, "Dani Girl" of Musical Trio Hong Kong in 2021 and various productions of Mainstream Theatre Arts including "Wind in the Willows", "Lost" and "Our Day Out" since 2022. Cherry also produced a number of children musical theatre shows, including “Disney’s 101 Dalmatians Kids” and “Seussical Jr”.
