Trainer Profile

Karen Perta, Ph.D., CCC-SLP is an assistant professor of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Elmhurst University outside of Chicago. She completed her Ph.D. at The Ohio State University in 2022 and worked as a clinical assistant professor at Ohio University for two years. She is also a voice-specialized medical speech-language pathologist with 14 years of experience, professional singer/musician, and voice teacher/vocal coach. She has published several research papers in flagship journals and presented at national and international conferences.
