Trainer Profile

Aleum Lee is a voice coach, musical theatre educator, and professor in the Department of Theatre at Dongguk University, Seoul. She also serves as co-director of AY VOICE and AY Musical Academy, institutions dedicated to integrating voice training with musical theatre education for learners of all ages. 

With a background in theatre and musical theatre, she began teaching in 2013, working with aspiring K-pop artists and performers preparing for careers in the entertainment industry. From 2018, she expanded her work by integrating drama and musical theatre into elementary and middle school language education, promoting creativity through performance-based learning. Over the years, she has trained a wide range of students—from children and university majors to professional musical theatre actors—and continues to teach across levels and disciplines.

At Dongguk University, she is leading efforts to establish Estill Voice Training as a foundational model for vocal instruction in the performing arts. She is actively involved in research and education aimed at positioning EVT as a systematic, evidence-based tool for voice training within Korea’s performance industry.

EVT has transformed her entire approach to voice education. Through this methodology, she helps students discover healthy, expressive, and sustainable vocal production. She remains committed to advancing EVT in Korea’s performing arts education through both teaching and scholarly work.
