Current home (city, country): Quebec City

Where did you grow up?: Quebec City

Why you do you love Estill Voice Training?: Because it provides answers to many questions vocalists have to deal with everyday and is so efficient when coaching singers or actors AND based on science!

How did you find Estill Voice Training? In 2011, Kim Steinhauer was invited by Julie Cimon Racine to teach a complete Estill course in my hometown of Quebec City, which I had the opportunity to attend. The week after, I took a break from teaching. I was so excited about everything that I had learned so I told my students I had to take the time to study! Then, figure by figure, it became the model I wanted to work with.

Biggest professional challenge: I teach at a College, in a jazz-pop singing program, where students are between 17 and 20 years old. My biggest challenge is to teach them how to be a good improviser, a committed performer, and a brilliant musician, all while integrating to feel, hear, see and control their instrument. For them to learn to mix the craft, the artistry and the performance magic! As a singer, my biggest challenge is to make time to keep my instrument in good shape and active!

Last book read: L’anatomie en orthophonie by David H. McFarland! ????

Person you would most like to have dinner with: Barbara (a French singer who has inspired my music and my career)

Favorite performer: My 5 year old daughter!

Hobby(ies): Spend as much quality time as possible with my kids, my partner and my family!

Favorite quote: « C’essssst loooooong! » ????

People would be surprised to know… although in a professional setting I’m usually very rigorous and serious, in my day to day life I’m quite funny and I love to goof around!
